We Are Pirates
Ok, we know what you’re thinking. Pirates, on Witchapalooza? Remember that Witchapalooza is about all things mystical. If you think Krakens, Sea Witches, and cursed treasure aren’t mystical, ye belong on a plank matey.
We are Pirates is a strategy game where you recruit, gain gold, and conquer other lands while learning the secret behind your father’s disappearance.
You start off simple enough, but this game requires some good thinking on your part. Each ship only moves and attacks in a certain way. Your job is to send ships to the enemy stronghold while keeping your enemy from getting ships to yours. These drone ships follow a certain trade route and you must work your best to get the required number of ships to the route before you run out of money or the enemy overwhelms your station.
The first thing you need to understand is that the ships automatically fire and you can use your control ships to blow up ships in the trade route while keeping the trade route ships cannot fire back at you. However, they do have the ability to attack other trade route ships. You will receive gold for destryong trade route ships as well as the opposing fleets ships. It is admittedly a little tricky, however once you get the hang of it you will have fun.
A few tips to help you on your way:
#1 Save Often.
This is very true in this game and you must save to be able to come back to a good level should your captain ship be sunk.
#2 Walk Away.
Once you have defeated the fleet of the enemy and all that is left is fleet ships, position your ships so that they are able to destroy the enemy fleet and walk away from your keyboard for awhile. This will allow you to accumulate gold which you need for upgrading your ships.
#3 Upgrade Everything
We won’t tell you when, but at one point you will really want to have all of your ships maxed if you are going to make it anywhere within the game.
